The end of the jumping season here on Texel is marked by an enormous dressup party they call "Paranachtfeest". The theme was "Beesteboel" which means Party Animals. I decided to go as a dropbear, but then I saw some angel wings in a shop and HAD to buy them, so I ended up being a flying dropbear with a long tail. Teun went as a penguin and there were many other very creative outfits.
There were 2 crocodile hunters (well, one was a butterfly hunter) and many lions and cows.
I'd say special mention goes to Remcos butcher outfit (it seems to be attracting the bunnies):
There were many sore heads after the party. In fact Teun and I didn't even end up riding home, we stayed in a hotel room at De Kievit (where the party was).
The next day there were a few people still at De Kievit and we ended up having tea and pizza. Mmmm yum, great hangover cure.
Teun and I have moved out of the caravan now and have moved into a room at De Koog (a town 6km south west of the dropzone. We are staying here. It's a lovely room on the top floor. This is a pic of the room. It's very comfortable, in fact it's quite luxurious. Free internet, tv and shared kitchen.
