Big Trip to the Mainland

Ok, so I'm living on an island so making a trip to Amsterdam is an exciting adventure.
Teun and I made our way to Amsterdam for a few nights to visit his Mum.

This picture is taken on Kalverstraat in Amsterdam with the Munt tower in the background. It's certainly been nice to have someone show me around who actually knows Amsterdam, unlike other times I've been there. Geez, if I had a euro for every time I've been lost in Amsterdam I'd be rich!

We had coffee at a cafe called Kalvertoren which showed off a gorgeous view of the rooftops of Amsterdam. Both the coffee and the company was good :)
After the coffee we made our way to a really cool market where I had an impulse buy of a shirt which had this on the front: "F*** Google, ask me!". I thought that was very BOFH of me :)

Ok so I'm a little slow to do this post (I know the photo was taken a week ago) so no complaining.

Here's a photo of Teun's place:

This is one of his Mum's cat's, it's name is Panther. Gorgeously cuddly and friendly. Their house has a cute little garden with 2 rabbits and a cute little shed. The house has a really steep staircase which is typical of Dutch architecture (to save space).

Apart from the trip to Amsterdam I've been doing very minimal jumping on Texel (where I am writing this post). The weather at the moment is depressingly horrible (wet, cold, windy) and it has been for 3 days now. This is typical for the island this time of year as the locals tell me.

I wish I had my camera helmet to take footage of the amazing view here, but I'm sure the link in the previous post is enough to make you jealous :D

Missing everyone heaps, bear skies.
